On behalf of the residents, staff, and members of the Board, let me welcome you to our website. In this age of cyberspace, the use of the computer has become indispensable to the conduct of business, regardless of our industry. In healthcare, we must face the challenge of an ever-changing landscape of regulations, program philosophies, and technology. That is why we wanted to have a website that provides potential residents, family members, healthcare professionals, and the general community with accurate and up-to-date information about our services and programs. Who Are We?

The Bluffs is a modern 132 bed not-for-profit skilled nursing facility serving the citizens of central Missouri. The members of our volunteer Board (the Boone County Senior Citizen Services Corporation) are appointed by various local agencies. This helps keep our focus on being responsive to the needs of the community.

In addition to state-of-the-art long-term nursing care, our array of services includes a 16 bed Alzheimer’s special care unit, short-term rehabilitation services, and hospice care. The Bluffs has earned the reputation of being one of the best nursing and rehabilitation facilities in the state of Missouri. In Fact, we like to think of ourselves as the “Guiding Light” in long-term care.

At The Bluffs, our goal is to help our residents reach and maintain their highest level of independence. In addition, we strive to create “moments of joy” for everyone everyday through our activities programs, and “warm personal touch.” We pride ourselves in our commitment to excellence in everything we do. From the cleanliness of the facility to the quality of our food, we work everyday to implement continuous quality improvement within each area of the facility.
