There’s no denying that caring for a loved one with memory loss is difficult, in many different regards. Most importantly, you want them to be safe and comfortable while being able to enjoy quality moments and happiness. At The Bluffs, enriching lives is our purpose and our passion.
Better Care, Greater Security
Our care specialists are continual learners, always seeking the most up-to-date treatments for Alzheimer’s and dementia. We limit prescription drug use as much as possible, and instead, focus on innovative ways to provide meaningful experiences and interactions.
Safety in our memory care neighborhood is of the highest quality and includes wander management and door security systems. Our certified care mapper ensures quality, people-centered care practices are always at the forefront.
Making It Home
If you have a loved one that will be joining our memory care neighborhood, we welcome you to bring items that will help make their new home comfortable and familiar. Rooms are furnished with all the basics – a bed, nightstand, dresser and armoire – and we also provide towels, sheets and a comforter. Some ideas of what to bring include:
- Clothing that is warm, comfortable and easy to put on and take off
- Pictures of loved ones and/or favorite artwork
- A television
- A comfortable sitting chair or recliner
- A comforter or bedspread from home if that is preferred
- A pillow
- A few of their favorite and most comforting things
Family and friends are welcome to visit at any time. We welcome guests to participate in all life enrichment events and share the fun. We have a therapeutic garden, three private neighborhood parks and a large central park area for visiting, gardening and an occasional music festival.
We invite you to visit to see the accommodations and meet our staff. Attend a weekly tour or schedule a time that best fits your schedule.
